Cold Season 7 Essentials (FREE Card)

Cold Season 7 Essentials (FREE Card) 2025

The Cold Season Card

From November to March, nobody sees your outfit. They see your coat, your scarf, your bag and the boots underneath. The blouse you chose and the trousers you ironed stay under a coat until you arrive.

So I went through more than half an hour of Paris street footage and nearly a hundred photos women posted on Instagram this autumn, and I kept asking one question: what still works when it’s cold and it rains? Seven pieces kept coming back. The free card puts all seven on one page, with one outfit for each and the door test. You already own at least three of them.

I · A long coat that isn’t black
II · One check
III · The short jacket
IV · The scarf

V · The knit with a collar
VI · Wide trousers that stop at the boot
VII · A warm bag, across the body

The Winter Outfit Card

In winter most of us reach for the same thing: a black coat, black trousers, black boots. Warm, easy, and on a grey day it makes us disappear.

I went through more than a hundred photos of stylish women dressing for the cold, and the same five ideas kept coming back. None of their outfits is complicated, and every piece in them is something most of us already own. The free card puts all twenty outfits on one page: the five ideas, a small drawing of every outfit, and your version of each idea, built from your own wardrobe.

I · Brown, where black used to be
II · Winter white
III · Navy, worn softly
IV · One warm colour
V · Texture, not pattern

The Christmas Dinner Card

Every December the party edits look the same: a sequin mini dress, bare legs, heels you couldn’t walk to the car in. They’re made for an office party at eleven at night. Not for Christmas dinner, where you sit for three hours, the room is warm, the walk from the car is cold, and the people around the table have known you for years.

This winter the runways are full of velvet, brocade, embroidery and beaded bags, so fashion is on your side. The free card puts seven outfits on one page, each built on one festive piece, with everything else from your own wardrobe.

I · The beaded bag
II · The satin skirt, with a knit
III · Velvet, with one jewel
IV · The velvet dress, with sleeves

V · The evening jacket, with your jeans
VI · Shine in one place
VII · Lace at the hem

Look at a Ralph Lauren advertisement from the early nineties, then at the Ralph Lauren shop this winter. A navy peacoat, double-breasted, the same buttons, the same length. More than thirty years apart, almost the same coat.

Every winter he comes back to the same ten pieces. That’s good news, because a wardrobe that doesn’t change only has to be built once. The free card puts all ten on one page, with what to look for in each and one outfit to copy for every piece. Most of them you probably already own.

I · The camel coat
II · The navy peacoat
III · The tweed jacket
IV · The cream cable knit
V · The fine camel turtleneck

She’s 69. A navy coat, a white shirt, jeans, flat shoes. Nothing she wears is asking for attention, and yet when Inès de la Fressange arrives at the shows, the cameras turn around.

Two women in the same grey sweater, the same jeans, on the same street. You walk past the first one. You remember the second. She isn’t wearing anything new or anything expensive. She did three small things: she left one thing easy, she made one thing exact, and she wore one thing that is hers.

The Style Identity Card

Most advice on looking expensive ends the same way: buy the right bag, wear beige, remove the colour. But a famous handbag isn’t a magic wand. If the colours fight and the proportions are awkward, no logo can fix the outfit.

So instead of asking “would a rich woman wear this?”, the free card asks a better question: what impression do you actually want today? Then it helps you build it from clothes you already own, and check the decision before you buy anything new.

I · Choose the impression you want

The Knit Card — 7 Brunello Cucinelli Knitwear Ideas, Free on One Page

The Knit Card — 7 Brunello Cucinelli Knitwear Ideas, Free on One Page 2025

Free · One Page · Printable

The Knit Card

Take a Brunello Cucinelli outfit that costs thousands and blur it. The brand disappears, the cashmere disappears, every stitch disappears — and the look is still there. A soft shape on top, a long column below, one white line at the neck.

I went through the whole Fall–Winter 2026 collection, 44 looks, and pulled out the seven knitwear ideas that survive the blur. Then I rebuilt each one from the high street. The free card puts all seven on one page, with the blur test and the four checks I do in the shop before I buy a knit.

I · The knit replaces the jacket
II · One grey, three textures
III · Big knit, quiet bottom
IV · The long cardigan as the coat

V · The knitted scarf over tailoring
VI · Soft knit, hard leather
VII · The cardigan worn as the blouse
+ The blur test · four shop checks

The Winter Card: 10 Winter Ideas for Women Over 60 (Free)

The Winter Card: 10 Winter Ideas for Women Over 60 (Free) 2025

Free · One Page · Printable

The Winter Card

Almost every photo in this winter’s trend reports shows a woman in her twenties, on a street in Paris, in a coat she’ll only wear for the photograph. So I read the reports from Net-a-Porter, Vogue, Who What Wear, Grazia, Zara and H&M, and asked every trend three questions: does it help the face, does it survive real cold, and can you start it with something already in your wardrobe?

Six passed. The free card puts them on one page, each with a formula and one thing to try, plus four easy swaps for last winter’s clothes. The idea behind all ten: change the edges, keep the centre.

I · Long gloves
II · Corduroy
III · Heritage check
IV · Fur, at the collar
V · The new ladylike

VI · One deep colour
VII · Swap beige for espresso
VIII · Swap the black coat for cream
IX · Swap trainers for a loafer
X · Swap the stiff belt for a sash
