Privacy Policy & Disclaimer
At TrendsSpottedFashion.com, accessible from https://trendsspottedfashion.com, one of our top priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If you have additional questions or need more information about our policy, contact us at info@trendsspottedfashion.com.
Who We Are
TrendsSpottedFashion.com and the Trends Spotted Fashion YouTube channel are operated by SIA Strato Media Group, a limited liability company registered in Latvia, European Union.
- Data controller: SIA Strato Media Group
- Registration number:40203637751
- Contact for all privacy matters: info@trendsspottedfashion.com
Because we are established in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to everything we do with your personal data, regardless of which country you live in.
Consent
Browsing this website does not require you to give us any personal data. Where we do rely on your consent — for example, when you enter your email address to receive a free guide and our newsletter — you give that consent by actively submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or email us directly.
Information We Collect
We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us, such as:
- Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you sign up to receive a free guide or our newsletter
- Information you send us through contact forms, comments, or by emailing us
- The IP address, approximate location, timezone, and date and time recorded at the moment you submit a sign-up form — this is collected automatically by our email provider as proof that the sign-up was genuine
- Whether you opened an email we sent you, and whether you clicked a link in it
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and usage behaviour, via cookies and analytics tools
We will clearly state the purpose of collecting this information at the point where you are asked to provide it.
Email Sign-Ups, Free Guides & Automated Emails
Several pages on this website offer a free downloadable guide or card in exchange for your email address. Here is exactly what happens when you submit one of those forms, so there are no surprises.
What you receive
- Immediately: an automated email containing the guide you asked for. This is sent by our email provider within a few minutes.
- After that: occasional emails from us — typically about once a week — with styling advice, new videos, and, from time to time, information about the paid guides and products we sell.
- Some sign-ups also start a short automated welcome sequence of a few emails introducing the channel.
If you sign up more than once
We offer several different free guides across the site. If you sign up for a second or third guide using the same email address, we will send you each guide you requested — that is the whole point of asking for it. You are not added to our list twice, and you will not receive our regular newsletter more than once per send. You may, however, receive the delivery email for each separate guide you request, which can mean two or three emails arriving close together. That is intentional and it means the system worked, not that you have been signed up without your knowledge.
If this ever looks wrong to you, please email us at info@trendsspottedfashion.com rather than marking the message as spam — we will always explain what triggered it and fix anything that is genuinely broken.
How to stop
Every email we send contains an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it stops all emails from us — newsletters and automated sequences alike — not just the one you were reading. Unsubscribing is instant and requires no explanation. If you would like your data erased entirely rather than simply stopping the emails, see Your Data Rights below.
How We Use Your Information & Our Legal Basis
Under GDPR we must tell you not only what we do with your data, but why we are permitted to do it. Our purposes and legal bases are:
- Sending the free guide you requested, our newsletter, and promotional emails — legal basis: your consent, given when you submitted the sign-up form, and withdrawable at any time.
- Responding to your comments, emails, or questions — legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the website, and understanding user behaviour to enhance content and layout — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a functioning site, and your consent where cookies require it.
- Preventing fraudulent activity and spam — legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site.
- Keeping a record of consent and of privacy requests we have handled — legal basis: our legal obligation to demonstrate compliance.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not build psychological or behavioural profiles of individual subscribers.
Log Files
TrendsSpottedFashion.com follows standard log file procedures. This includes data like IP addresses, browser types, timestamps, referring pages, and clicks. These are not linked to personal identification and are used for trend analysis and website management.
How Long We Retain Your Data
- Email subscribers: we keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record of your email address so that we do not accidentally contact you again. If you ask us to erase your data entirely, we delete it in full — see below.
- Inactive subscribers: if you have not opened any of our emails for 24 months, we may remove you from our list entirely.
- Erasure requests: when you ask us to delete your data, we use our email provider’s permanent deletion function, which erases your profile, sign-up data, and engagement history from their systems. We retain a copy of your request itself as evidence that we handled it, and nothing else.
- Comments and associated metadata: retained indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.
- Purchase records: retained for as long as required by Latvian accounting and tax law.
Your Data Rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate
- Delete your data entirely (the “right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Withdraw your consent to marketing emails
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email info@trendsspottedfashion.com from the address you subscribed with. You do not need to give a reason, you do not need to use any particular wording, and we will never ask you to justify the request. We respond within one month, and usually within one working day.
Withdrawing consent or asking for erasure costs you nothing and will never affect your access to anything you have already downloaded or purchased.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority in the country where we are established — the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), www.dvi.gov.lv — or to the data protection authority in your own country.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Our email subscriber data is stored within the European Union. Some of our other service providers — including Google and Gumroad — are based in the United States, which means certain technical and purchase data is transferred outside the EU. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Advertising and Affiliate Links
We may display ads and use affiliate links from trusted partners such as:
- Google AdSense – View Policy
- Amazon Associates – We may earn fees from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate links cost you nothing extra, and we only recommend items we would recommend without them.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from our site. Please review their individual policies.
GDPR Data Protection Rights
Users in the European Union and United Kingdom have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, and request portability of their personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Because SIA Strato Media Group is established in Latvia, we extend these same rights to every subscriber, wherever they live. See Your Data Rights for how to exercise them.
CCPA Privacy Rights
California residents may request disclosure of the personal data we hold about them and request its deletion, using the contact details above. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA and have no data sales for you to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children’s Privacy
Our content is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. In Latvia, children under 13 cannot consent to the processing of their data; in some other EU countries that age is up to 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website and services change. The “Last Updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If we make a change that materially affects how we use your data, we will tell subscribers by email.
